SSY Trainee Scheme
With over 140 years’ experience, SSY is widely regarded as one of the world's most trusted names in broking, offering a comprehensive and integrated suite of broking services via its 25 local offices.
Through our London Trainee Scheme, successful applicants get the opportunity to learn from some of the most experienced names in shipping over a 12-month period. In addition to expert divisional training, we will also ensure the trainees are educated in the principals of shipping, as well as take part in networking opportunities and a series of port visits and vessel trips.

Due to our continued growth, we are now looking for a S&P Trainee Broker to join our Sale & Purchase team in Athens, Greece.

Job description:
Trainee Sale and Purchase broker to work in our Athens office closely with the S&P team to support and facilitate sales within the shipping market.
This role involves learning the fundamentals of sale and purchase, building market knowledge, and developing client relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Clerical support for the S&P team and our clients
• Data management
• Report generation
• Assisting with operational tasks on the Sale & Purchase Desk.
Skills required:
• Academic backgrounds in Business or Economics, or those with a degree in Shipping or Maritime Studies.
• Applicants will be comfortable with basic Shipping knowledge, working with numbers and handling data efficiently, and will have strong IT skills.
• The role requires a confident, bilingual communicator with excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English and Greek.
